Hands of Grace meeting at Faith Episcopal.
Hands of Grace offers members of our congregation the opportunity to be the physical presence of God’s love for homeless people in our community. We partner with Faith Episcopal Church and the Baha’i Community to provide weekly home-cooked meals and other services to any homeless people in our area. Hands of Grace is made up of four teams who take turns serving a hot meal in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. We sit down and eat together, talk to our homeless friends, and listen to their concerns and needs. On the 5th Wednesday of the month (about 3 times a year) everyone gets together to have a special celebration. Many community businesses have donated food to make these occasions special.
How can you become a part of our mission of “Changing Lives through Jesus Christ”? You could join one of our teams that prepare and serve food to the homeless. If you don’t like to cook and still want to help, there are many ways to serve our friends. You could help prepare cold meal bags, offer prayer support, or donate gift cards for gasoline, groceries, or clothing. We can also use any information you have on job postings or opportunities. If you have any questions, if you want to serve the homeless in our community, or if you want to support our community donors, please contact Linda Altergott.
