Help Orange County orphans transition into a caring community

Mission Lutheran can help build the future of foster youth in Orange County by breaking the cycle of child abuse and by, most importantly, introducing youth to a caring God. Rising Tide Communities is a housing program that changes lives, teaches youth to be self-sufficient, and connects youth with a caring community.

Rent subsidy of $25,000 per year - The youth pay a reduced rent, which increases slowly during the program. This gives youth the opportunity to learn budgeting and paying bills on time.

Savings incentives of $15,000 per year - Along with money management, our program stresses the importance of savings.  To reinforce this, the program matches all funds deposited into a savings account by the participant. Rising Tide staff monitors this matching program weekly.
